Katie & Mike's Engagement | Four Seasons Hotel Boston
Few weeks ago, when Boston’s winter was flirting with promises of a very faint spring, Katie’s fiance moved across the country to be with his future wife. We were a little crunched to squeeze in an engagement session before their early April wedding, but as my clients know, an engagement session is extremely important for me to get to know them with my camera, as well as interact with them outside of a meeting session before the wedding. To take it one step closer to being well prepared, Katie wished to meet at the reception location at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, and we walked through the reception sites, decided on our first look location and areas where we’d be plan on taking the family portraits.
You would never know by looking at the images below, but it is very common to have one or two members of a wedding couple who express to me that they are shy in front of the camera. I understand that fully, so am I. Which is why an engagement session with me can instill the confidence in them that being photographed by me isn’t going to be like other unpleasant experiences they may have had in front of the camera, or better yet, that they can have fun being them selves and still have beautiful images to cherish for years to come.
The smile in Katie and Mike’s eyes were the real genuine-happy-in-love-sparkles. And it was so obvious to see, I was blessed to be able to catch them into images. Katie’s best friend, and my client Justine came out as the day of stylist and save me the steps to straightening out details here and there.
There simply elegant wedding has already taken place, and I’ll be posting them in about a month! Please stay posted!
