Katie & Mike’s Wedding | Four Seasons Hotel Boston
As mentioned in their engagement post, on an early spring in Boston, Katie and Mike got married surrounded by their family and friends. When we set down during the planning session, the word simple yet elegant kept coming up, but it was clear, this was also going to be a fun wedding. The couple planned the wedding as it made the most sense to them rather than conform to what’s the ‘norm’ thing to do, which is always a treat to document.
As the bride and groom got ready in separate areas of the Four Season hotel, as usual, I had the pleasure of documenting the bride getting ready in a beautiful gown. It made me want to be a bride again~ 🙂

The wedding ceremony took place at the historic Old North Church, where the signaling of the lanterns from the Church Steeple really started the American Revolution in 1775.
The church still has the original construction and the unique architect to the times. The “pews” the guests are standing-in in this picture are more like small cubicles designed to keep the heat in when the congregants used to bring their own coal to keep warm. As part of the delicacy of the building, I was not able to move around during the ceremony due to the loud creaking of the floor boards, but I managed.
I saw again and again how sweet Katie’s relationship is with her parents, and brother, and all the aunts and uncles. It made me really want to capture all their love through photography documentation. But also without a doubt the bride and groom were so sweetly affectionate towards each other and beaming with joy all day long.
